This Indenture made and entered
into this Oct the 11th day 1884 by and between AARON BROCK of
the County of Leslie and State of Ky of the first part and JAMES
BROCK of the County of Perry and of the Same State afsd of the
other part, Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and
In consideration of the Sum of $250 dollars unto him in hand
paid the Receipt of which is hereby Granted Bargained and Sold
unto JAMES BROCK a certain Tract or Boundary of land situated
lying and being in County of Leslie and State of Kentucky and
the old Henderson. Waters of the Beech Fork of the Ky. River
and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning on 2 pines near the
Top of a Ridge about 30 yds. from the same near the head of JOSEPH
HOBBS Hollow the N.E. corner to a 100 acre Survey made for SIMES
B. WILSON thence with a line of said 100 acres S65 W 100 poles
to 2 chestnut oaks and a black walnut on the Top of the divide
the JOSEPH HOBBS HOLLOW & the War Branch waters of the beech
fork and Middle Fork & thence N 12 E 60 poles to 2 chestnut
oak and a dogwood on the foresaid divide thence N46 W 26 poles
to chestnut oaks on top of said divice . . . to a stake in a
line of WM NORTH's survey . . . containing in all 150 acres more
or less to Have and to Hold with all Its appertenances unto JAMES
BROCK and his heirs and I AARON BROCK and BARBARY BROCK doth
warrant and defend the rights of said land from themselfs and
their heirs forever. the day and year first written.
