Updated 11 Mar 2011

On 9 Aug 1764, George Brock (III?) of St. Anne's Parish Albemarle Co., apparently borrowed money on the land he bought from John, "sold to Saml Jordan, Factor for Archd. Ingram, George Kippen, & Co. Merchts. in Glasgow, Mortgage plus interest for the land on Bremo Creek."

In 1773, a court case involved George Brock in conjunction with the suit brought against him by Samuel Jordan, it was ordered that George Brock be arrested.

Bedford Co., VA, was cut out of Albemarle Co. in Feb 1752. On 5 May 1777, Fluvanna Co. was cut out of Albemarle.

On 1 Oct 1777, George Brock was mentioned in deed from Thomas Staples of Albemarle Co. to David Staples Jr. of Fluvanna, for £50, one certain tract of 174 ac of land in Fluvanna, and joining the lines of George Brock, William Stone, and John Mandley. Signed: Tho. Staples. Wit: none. Rec 2 Oct 1777.

On a deed 24 Mar 1779, George Brock of Fluvanna sold to Fisher Rice Bennett of Fluvanna, for £300, one certain tract of land of 95 ac in Fluvanna on both sides of Bremo Creek near the head, and bounded by John Payne, Joseph Walton. Signed: George Brock. Wit: Daniel Tilman, Thomas Winn, John Melton. Rec 6 May 1779. This is apparently when he left the area.

He next appeared in Franklin Co. (where Joshua's family had settled earlier), on a deed witnessed by Micajah and Joshua Brock [his son and uncle or 1st cousin]:
