 The full text of the heirs' INDENTURE. RELEASE OF PROPERTY OF JOHN CAMPBELL TO GERSHON MOTT BY:
George Davidson and Charity, his wife (widow of John Campbell), and his children: Walter Campbell, John Campbel, Margaret Campbell Parker, Joseph Longley and his wife Mary Campbell Longley, John Dimit and his wife Effie Campbell Dimit, Walker Wealson and his wife Jane Campbell Wealson, James Old and his wife Elizabeth Campbell Old, Priscilla Campbell, and Dorcas Campbell

This Indenture made the second Day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and thirty one Between George Davidson of the City of Philadelphia Cordwainer and Charity his wife, who was the wife of John Campbel late of Manhatawny in the County of Phildadelphia Yeoman deceas'd, Walter Campbel and Duncan Campbel, sons of the said John Campbel, Margaret Parker of Manhatawny aforesaid Widow, one of the Daughters of the said John Campbel, Joseph Longley and Mary his Wife, another of the Daughters of the said John Campbel, John Dimit and Effa his wife, another of the Daughters of the said John Campbel, Walker Wealson and Jane his wife, another of the Daughters of the said John Campbel, James Old and Elizabeth his wife, another of the Daughters of said John Campbel, and Priscilla Campbel and Dorcas Campbel Spinsters, the other Daughters of the said John Campbel , of the one part and Gershon Mott of Middletown in the County of Monmouth in Eastern Division of the Province of the New Jersey Yeoman of the other Part Witnesseth that they the said Gearge Davidison and Charity his Wife, Walter Campbel, Duncan Campel, Margaret Parker, Joseph Longley and Mary his wife, John Dimit and Effa his Wife, Walker Wealson and Jane his wife, James Old and Elizabeth his wife, Priscill Campbel and Dorcas Campbel as well for in consideration of the sum of ten Pounds to them in Hand paid by the said Gershon Mott the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge as of the sum of Twenty Pounds by him likewise paid unto the said John Campbel in his life Time wherewith they hereby acknowledge themselves fully satisfied. Have granted bargained provided released and confirmed and by these Presents Do each of them Doth grant bargain and remise release and confirm unto the said Gershon Mott (In his actual possession Now Being) and to his Heirs and Assigns a Certain Tract of Land situate on the East Side of the River Skoolkil in the County of Philadelphia and Beginning at a Post by the said River at a Corner of Richard Nottes's Land thence extending by the same North twenty Degrees, East Thirteen hundred pertches thence by vacant land East South East thirty seven pertches thence south twenty Degrees Westerly by a line dividing this from other part of a great tract of seven and hundred acres whereof this was part to the River Skoolkil then by the same River the several C…….s thereof to the place of Beginning containing three hundred Acres (Part of Seven hundred acres granted by Proprietary Commissions unto Mouns Justis in Fee by Patent of the sixteenth Day of the fifth Month in annos one thousand seven hundred and five on Record at Philadelphia Patent Box A, Vol 3, Which said Mouns Justis by Deed of the fourth Day of September Anno One thousand seven hundred and five granted the three hundred acres aforesaid John Cooks in fee who by Indenture of the fifth day of the seventh Month Anno Di One Thousand seven hundred and five granted its unto one Samuel Mills in Fee Vid Record Box E7, Vole 8, Page 998 Who by Indenture of the eleventh Day of March Anno Di One thousand seven hundred and thirteen granted it unto Samuel Bustill in Fee Who with Grace his wife by Indenture of the Eighteen May Anno Di One thousand seven hundred and sixteen granted it unto the said John Campbel in Fee Who bargained and sold but died intestate before he had actually conveyed the same unto the said Gershon Mott). Together also with all and singular the Buildings Improvements Ways Woods Waters Water Course Rights Liberties Privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever unto the three hundred acres hereby grated belonging and the Reversions and Remainders thereof and all and every of the Estate and Estates Right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the relict and children of the said deceased John Campbel and his daughters husbands aforenamed of in and for the three hundred acres of land and premises hereby granted or mentioned to be granted to have and to hold the same three hundred acres of Land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Gerson Mott and his Heirs so the Use and …….. of him the said Gerson Mott his Heirs and assigns for ever which the proportionable part of the yearly Quitrent accruing for the same to the Chief Lord of the Fee thereof and the Said George Davidson for himself the said Charity …. And his and her Heirs the Said Joseph Longley John Dimit & Walter Wealson and James Old for themselves and their wives respectively and the said Walter Campbel Duncan Margaret and Priscilla for themelves and their Heirs respectively do covenant that they and their Heirs the said Three Hundred Acres of Land and Premises hereby granted and released with the appurtenances unto the said Gershon Mott his Heirs and Assigns against each and every of them the said George Charity Joseph Mary John Effa Walter Wealson Jane James Elizabeth Walter Campbel Duncan Margaret Priscilla and Dorcas and their respective Heirs and against all and every other person and person whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by for or under them or any of them or any of them or by from or of the said John Campbel deceased shall and will Warrant and forever Defend by these presents.

And the said George Davidison for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators and for the said Charity his Wife The said Joseph Longley, John Dimit Walter Wealson, and James Old for themselves severally and respectively and for their Heirs Executors and Administrators and for their said respective wives and the said Walter Campbel Duncan Campbel Margaret Parker and Priscilla Campbel for themselves severally and respectively and for their several and respective Heirs Executors and Administrators do each of them doth covenant promise and grant to and with the said Gershon Mott his Heirs and Assign by these presents that they an every of them the said George Davidson and the relict and Children of the said John Campbell and his Daughters Husbands aforenamed and every of their heirs and all and every other person and persons whatsoever having or lawfully claiming or to claim any Estate Right Title or Interest of in or to the premises or any part of parcel thereof by from or under them or any of them at by from or under the said deceased John Campbel shall and will at any Time or Times hereafter at the reasonable Request Cost and Charges on the Law of the said Gershon Mott his Heirs or Assigns make execute or acknowledge or cause so to be all and every such further and other reasonable Act and Acts Deed or Deeds Device or Devices in Law or whatsoever for the further and better assurance and Confirmation of the said Three Hundred Acres of Land hereditaments and Premises hereby granted or mentioned to be granted with the Appurtenances unto the said Gershon Mott his Heirs and Assigns as by him or them or by his or their Councel learned in the Law shall be reasonabley revised advised or reassured. Memorandum the nineteenth day of April Anno Di 1732 before me Samuel Glafell Esq on of the Justices for the peace for the City and County of Philadelphia came the within named George Davidison and brought this writing or conveyance which he acknowledged to be his Deed and desired the same may be recorded as his Deed according to an Act of Assembly of this Province in that Behalf lately made and provided Witness my Hand and Seal the Day and Year aforesaid. Memorandum the 22 Day of April Anno Domini 1739 came before me George Boon Esq one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Phladelphia comes Isaac Wiseman and Ralph Broomfield who upon their solemn affirmations did declare that they saw the with named Walter Campbell Margaret Parker James Old and his wife and Priscilla Campbel sign seal and deliver this writing or Conveyance and they the set their Hands as Evidences thereunto Witness my Hand Seal the day and year aforesaid George Boone Seal _____
Memorandum the first day of May Anno Di 1732 before me Isaac Kerin Esq one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Hunterdon and Province of West New Jersey came the within named Joseph Longley and Mary his Wife and brought the within writing or conveyance which they acknowledged to be their deed and desired the same may be recorded as their deed according to law Witness my Hand and Seal the Day and Year aforesaid did Isaac Herin Seal __________.

Memorandum the Second Day of May Anno Di 1739 before me John Anderson Esq one of the Justices of the Peace for the County of Monmouth and on of his Majesties Council for the Province of New Jersey came the with named Walter Wilson and Jane his wife and Duncan Campbel and brought the within Writing or Conveyance which they acknowledged to be their deed and desired the same may be recorded as their Deed according to Law Witness my Hand and Seal the Day and Year aforesaid said John Anderson Seal______

Memorandum the twenty fourth Day of May Anno Di 1732 before me Philip Cortlandt Esq one of his Majesties Council for the Province of New York came the within named Effa the wife of John Dimit also within named) brought the within writing or Conveyance which she acknowledges to be here Deed and desired the same may be recorded as her Deed according to Law Witness my Hand and Seal the Day and Year Aforesaid.
