Campbell Longley's Children

Campbell Longley's oldest daughter, Mary Catherine Longley Tyler (1839-1919) at age 51, about 1890, with her son George Albert Tyler (1873-1960) and daughter Rozella Tyler (1879-1963).

Mary Catherine married Charles Tyler 10 May 1854 at age 14.5. Her father Campbell consented on condition they wait 15 years before moving to Utah. The Tylers left for Utah on 10 May 1869, in 3 covered wagons with 6 surviving children and 1000 cattle. Of 6 more children born in Utah, 3 died as infants.

In 1850 Campbell & wife Sarah had only three daughters: Mary Catherine b. Dec 1839, Martha Jane b. Dec 1841, Frances Caroline b. Feb. 1844; Elizabeth was born May 1854.

This picture was likely made a bit later (1858-60) and included Campbell's wife Sarah Henry (wearing the hat); perhaps in Jun 1859 when Frances Caroline married J. T. Lawrence, or Aug 1860 when Martha Jane married William Carnes.
