Doctor S. "Doc" Pearson, wife Martha Belle Clements, & the older of their 13 children, probably Ida B., Delilah, Chora, Adelia (believed to be standing center front), Jeanette, & Marvin, abt 1891

 Doc Pearson was a lay preacher for the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, and served a church in Lawn, TX for many years. He and Bell are both buried there.
Doc and his sister Rebecca Matilda Pearson Jones (1860-1936) established a church in Lanham, 11 miles from Hamilton, TX, in 1887 that is still active today. Matilda , named for her mother's sister, lived across the street from the church but Doc lived at Hamilton.
