Gwyn Voy Wilks began military
service on 10 Nov 1944 at Dallas, TX, with four years of high
school, a general farmer residing in Erath Co., TX.
His mother wrote her daugher Myrl on 25 Nov 1944 hoping he would
get a 36-hour leave. He served in the Asiatic Pacific theater
of Operations for 14 months in the Philippine Islands on Luzon
in the Manila area.
